Services
The Department of Economic Planning and Development provides distinct services through its various divisions:
Provide short-term development planning services through operationalization of long and medium term development strategies.
Provide sound macroeconomic advice, strategic direction for the economy and guidance on issues affecting important aspects of the real sector in Malawi in order to spur economic growth.
Monitor and evaluate public policies, projects and programmes implemented at national and sub-national levels for informed decision making and accountability in the public sector.
Coordinate and provide policy guidance on social support and poverty reduction programmes to achieve sustainable national development.
